No techniques

There are no techniques in Dhamma training, there is only the practice of awareness and love.
Awareness to see the mind and its habits (Kamma) and love to accept what the mind presents without attaching or identifying with the contents. The less we grasp at the mind, the more peace and freedom spontaneously arise. So, we sit every day simply and without intention. Sitting just to sit.
This is the highest practice and is the place Gotoma had to find before his full enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in the forest of Uruvela.
Only ego (or 'self') seeks a return on its investment and so is always demanding, asking for more and more without end. The moment we extrapolate ourselves from this situation that very 'self-identity' falls away. This is the path of liberation and how we get out of own way and find the stillness of the mind.

May all beings be happy.
