Not a vegan.

This is a time where compartmentalizing the world we live in makes life simple and convenient, to put labels on others and categorize them as that for the duration of our relationship.
But the label is not what we are and is only ever appropriate to time and place.

Vegan is not what I am!  Vegan defines my relationship to animal welfare and food. When I sit in front of my students, I am not a vegan, I take the place of the teacher. When I am with my sons, I am not a vegan, I am a father. Vegan is just one of the many hats I wear each and every day. In truth, there is nothing fixed that you really are and no particular way that you have to be.
Labels are convenient and can be useful as reminders in moments of doubt or stress, but they are only relevant and valid for that moment.
To be free means to have transcended all labels wherever they be religious, social or gender orientated and simply be, harmonizing with life's situations and all other beings.

May all beings be happy.
