Simple life.

In my Dhamma life I am happy to be a simple Master, taking care of that which was entrusted to me. I offer no ceremony, no certificate, no initiation, no ladder to climb in front of others. I give no reward, no badge of office for your effort in meditation. I share only my love and enthusiasm for pure Dhamma, the teaching of Gotama before religion was born. I encourage only honesty and integrity in practice - such a difficult path to walk when the spiritual business world offers so much. In the temples and monasteries I see people with their hands together in Anjali all the while pushing for their place in front of others. I hear people speaking of love and compassion all the while happily eating the flesh of fellow beings. I hear people speaking of mystical experiences all the while pursuing the lowest aspects of human behaviour. For me, I have nothing to offer but the silence of meditation and the elegance of pure Dhamma practice. Not seeking to be someone, but aspiring to be no-one is the way of Pure Dhamma, and those who arrive with humility and right intention will always find a place next to me.

May all beings be happy.
