A harmless life.
I know that I make my life difficult when I follow
my loving choices to live in a harmless way, but when the mind falls
quiet we will hear the beautiful, compassionate heart speak. It
reminds us that pain is pain, suffering is suffering and fear is
fear, but more, when we know the quality of these things for
ourselves, how can it be possible that we turn away from the
difficulties of any other being?
The Dhamma path is beyond
religion or any other constructs of the mind that divides one group
or species against another and is the dissipation of every sense of
separateness no matter how subtle it feels or how strongly the
intellect can argue for it. Here is the peace that cannot be found in
any other place, the peace of the loving heart.
It is true that at
the beginning of practice we need help, support and guidance but in
the end, whether we follow the path of love or modify the pure Dhamma
teachings of infinite compassion to fit ourselves is something only
we will decide.
May all beings be happy.
