Such is life.

Balancing the things we want against the things we don't want is the game of life. Trying so desperately to fill our time with wonderful things such as romance, love, family, money, comfort, security always at the expense of the things that we don't want, old age, illness, pain, discomfort and insecurity.
With wisdom we will see and know for ourselves, that it is all empty and life however it manifests, is neither for you nor against you and in fact, it's just life. With this simple realisation we can play this game with a joyful heart and appreciate the pleasant things when we have them, before they slip from our grasp, and be with the more difficult things knowing that with wise understanding, we are always able to let them go.
When the heart is truly open we neither grasp nor reject but simply accept the reality of the moment as it manifests and then respond with whatever action is necessary.
This is how our ordinary life manifests the Four Noble Truths of the Buddha, and how we can use it as our own path to liberation.

May all beings be happy.
