Beyond words.

To fully understand Dhamma you must always test the words of the teacher.
Buddha said, Jesus said, God said, means nothing against your own direct experience of truth. You are the architect of your life and it is you who must meet the consequence of the mind states that you empower.
To quote great teachers is fine, but do you understand beyond the words?
True Dhamma practice is not simply picking up new ideas and stock phrases to carry, or identifying yourself with an ancient spiritual tradition, but rather putting down the old story you fill your life with.
Dhamma training is always an unlearning process, to let go of the movements of mind that keep you always facing in the same direction in your life and so always meeting the same consequences of disappointment, frustration and fear.
To go beyond a limited 'self' identity is the way of Dhamma, to let go, let go and let go, until all that is left is the beautiful loving heart and a smile on the face.

May all beings be happy.
