Straight road.
The
moment I met true Vipassana training and the loving guidance of my
Master, I never looked for something else. Even from the first moment
I recognized it as the greatest blessing in my life. An untainted way
of love and awareness leading to the absolute and perfect liberation
from the insidious corruption and subsequent suffering of the desire
and fear based mind.
Dhamma is already complete and needs
nothing added to it, and all the disciple needs to do is stay on the
path. Just one simple thing, do not allow the mind to distract you
from the step by step journey to liberation. Each new thing, ceremony
or fashion that is added to the purity of practice becomes a
pollution and ultimately a barrier to self realization. After all, it
can only be 'self' who is dissatisfied with the intrinsic simplicity
of love and awareness and everything new we add or pick up merely
becomes one more thing we will have to release in the future.
The
more we speak about it the more we show our lack of understanding.
The more we try to convince others of its value the more we show our
frailty. The more we bring it into our lives, the more we wander off
the Path.
The Buddha is my great hero, not the mystical being from
the legends but the being who showed the smile of ultimate freedom,
beyond religion, beyond rites and rituals. This simple and straight
path is available to all men and women who wish to be free and it's
only requirement is that we always face the Dhamma and resist the
Mara mind of distraction.
The path is straight, but people love to
be side-tracked.
(Tao te Ching verse 42)
May
all beings be happy.
